1989 YJ Custom Jeep Mud and Rock crawler. Great hunting vehicle or just for fun.
383 SBC stroker motor (less than 30 hours), TH400 and Atlas 3.8 (32 spline output upgrade on front). 3” AL Griffin radiator, Holley Truckevenger carb, Shorty headers with 2.25” dual exhaust all the way to back, Magnaflow round mufflers, MSD HEI distributor, Plastic 15 gallon tank in stock location with custom 1⁄4” steel skid plate protection, high flow electric manual fan, Optima Yellow top battery, B&M shifter, ARB compressor.
The Jeep had a corvette TPI motor in it at one point but I switched to a carbureted 383 since I was in remote areas a lot and wanted something I could diagnose/fix to get back home. Fuel lines, Mallory filter and ECM are still in the jeep. I have TPI intake and engine wiring harness if somebody wants to go back to that system. I believe the injectors are 24#.
Narrowed Dana 60s (High Pinion front and back). 5.38 Spicer gears with ARB front and Detroit rear. 35 spline chrome moly axles all the way around. 3⁄8” HD diff covers, High steer in front, Custom driveshafts front& back, Disc brakes all the way around, Warn hubs, 2”/3.5” BDS leafsprings and all Fox shocks.
39.5” Super Swamper Bogger tires on steelwheel with 1⁄4” beadlocks. 32-3⁄8” bolts per wheel. Both tires and wheels are fairly new.
New Superwinch 9000# with 100’ synthetic rope. Handheld remote for winch. Very convenient if you’re by yourself.
Hardtop, hard doors and set of half doors. Best front seats, stock rear seat. Tilt steering. Marine am/fm/cd radio. Tuffy high security glove compartment. Custom hood locking system to keep jeep from wondering off. Heater and defroster work great. Custom bumpers front/back with highlift attached to back bumper. Vehicle is currently street legal and plated in NH.
Autometer gauges in dash (oil, temp, volt, trans, fuel).
Extra parts include driver/pass fender and hood in perfect shape (zero rust!!) if you want to make it look nice. One new Warn 35 spline hub for emergency’s. TPI intake and engine wiring harness.
I built this jeep for myself over the last 10 years so no corners cut. This is a well-built rig. Just don’t use it enough so it’s time to go.
