Selling a customized-to-the-hilt 1977 International Harvester Scout II with completely rebuilt everything. Both street legal and off-road ready - if you are looking for a Scout for desert fun, this one is it.

This was a labor of love, and I sunk around $60,000 into it, not even counting my labor. (Long story short: bought this originally for my teen daughter, but then got completely carried away putting all the extras on that I would have wanted… now realizing this is NOT a car for a new driver teen girl anymore. Also realizing that I am getting too old to do the desert thing anymore. So here it goes on the chopping block.)

Here’s what you get:

1977 International Scout II, 4x4, Dana 19 4-speed manual transmission with Dana 18 Spicer split-shift transfer case (also including spare transfer case with PTO)

345 V8 engine, completely rebuilt (professionally!), with new heads, new cam, new pistons, electronic ignition. Have barely 25 miles on this engine. Have all receipts.

New gas tank, all new lines, front skid plate, rear gas tank skid plate, rock sliders.

Dual batteries, air-conditioning.

Dual exhaust off-road specialty chrome headers, 2 12 “ Magnaflow mufflers and exhaust pipe extended past rear tires.

Dana 44 front and rear axles, cleaned and inspected. Yukon locker in front, Spicer locker in rear.

2” body lift. Leaf spring suspension with a 4” lift, all new.

17” rims with brand new 33” American Pathfinder tires. Manual locking hubs. New disk brakes in front, drums in the rear.

Roll cage, 4-point harness seat bar, off-road racing bucket seats in front, perfect condition stock rear seat.

Bikini top. Also comes with original soft top (will also include a hard top I meant to fix and put on, but ran out of steam. Purchased this for $800).

New windshield and frame (this tends to be the weak spot on all Scouts due to rust - no issue here! Spent over $1,600 to replace.

Also have stripped this Scout down to just the frame to get rid of rust issues. Dynamat on all interior surfaces for sound suppression and heat reduction. New carpet kit.

International Scout II stainless steel dash with ISSPO gages (also still have the original gages).

Double DIN stereo system with subwoofer and Crunch 1,000 W amp.

Off-road lights: two sets of flood lights, light bar with spot and flood. Rear back up lights have off-road flood lights for great visibility. Back-up camera, front grill camera to get out of tight spots. Interior light switch panel for all off-road lights.

X-RC Smittybilt winch. Tow hitch. Cowl hood scoop.

Additionally comes with 4-barrel intake manifold, Holley performance 4-barrel carburetor.

I also have paint for it - was going to paint it, but then thought it looks cool as is, and it’s meant for off-roading anyway. But it comes with the paint.
